The 'Til I Die' idea started in 2005-06 as a trial book at Brentford Football Club to encourage Bees fans to write passionately about their experiences following their club and to share their memories with fellow supporters. The book was such a success that other clubs soon signed up, including; Queens Park Rangers, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, Reading and Watford.
2008-09 sees the 'Til I Die' brand taken to the next level thanks to a unique partnership with the National Literacy Trust, Department for Children, Schools and Families, Football Foundation and Supporters Direct. These influential organisations see the books as the perfect way to encourage real football fans to express themselves about the club they love. Eight new books will be produced this season [including Aldershot, Arsenal, Derby County, Walsall, Tottenham, Ipswich, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday] followed by dozens more clubs all over Britain and beyond in the not too distant future. 'England 'Til I Die' will also be the first of the home nation international titles and is planned for publication in summer 2010.
This website is designed to allow fans of every club to contribute their own stories, and to provide a rich source of fascinating material for fans of every club to read, enjoy and share. Many of these memories will eventually be used in books dedicated to the relevant clubs. So, if your team is not represented, please make sure you send your story in to get the ball rolling for your club.
